HUBUNGAN DI ANTARAIKLIM SEKOLAH DAN KEPUASAN KERJA GURU SEKOLAH MENENGAH DI DAERAH KUALA NERUS, TERENGGANU

Abstract


Keperluan untuk mewujudkan iklim sekolah yang positif semakin mendapat perhatian serius daripada pihak Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia sehinggalah kepada pengetua sekolah. Iklim sekolah yang positif akan melahirkan modal insan yang berkualiti tinggi dan memartabatkan sistem pendidikan di negara kita. Hubungan di antara iklim sekolah dan kepuasan kerja guru adalah positif (Muhammad Arifin, 2015). Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tahap kepuasan kerja guru dan tahap iklim di sekolah menengah di daerah Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. Di samping itu, kajian ini berhasrat untuk mendapatkan hubungan di antara iklim sekolah dan kepuasan kerja guru di sekolah-sekolah tersebut. Seterusnya, kajian ini juga adalah untuk mengkaji sama ada wujud perbezaan yang signifikan di antara iklim sekolah dan kepuasan kerja guru bagi sekolah berlainan gred. Data yang diperoleh melalui kaedah soal selidik ke atas 105 orang guru akan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensi menerusi program Statistical Package For The Social Science (SPSS) 21.0 Window 7. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap iklim sekolah dan kepuasan kerja guru di sekolah menengah Kuala Nerus adalah sederhana. Di samping itu, terdapatnya perbezaan yang signifikan antara tahap kepuasan kerja guru di kedua-dua kategori sekolah tersebut iaitu sekolah menengah gred A menunjukkan tahap kepuasan guru lebih rendah dan di sekolah menengah gred B menunjukkan tahap kepuasan guru lebih tinggi. Sebaliknya tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan bagi iklim sekolah di kedua-dua kategori sekolah tersebut, walau bagaimanapun dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap iklim di sekolah menengah gred A adalah lebih rendah berbanding sekolah menengah gred B. Seterusnya kajian ini juga menunjukkan terdapatnya hubungan signifikan positif yang kuat di antara iklim sekolah dan kepuasan kerja guru. Bagi domain kepuasan kerja guru pula, domain tanggungjawab menunjukkan min tertinggi, manakala domain keselamatan menujukkan min terendah. Akhir sekali, implikasi dapatan kajian ini dibahagikan kepada tiga bidang utama, iaitu bidang ilmu, teoritikal dan juga praktikal
